Reflection of the Novel
Ender's Game is an intensifying novel with many twists and turns throughout the story line. Ender is just a child when he leaves for Battle School, but even at the age of six he had gone through a lot. He was a small kid and got picked on, not only because of his size but also because he was a third, the third child. Most families didn't have a third child, the parents must have government approval.
Ender got bullied at school and at home by his older brother Peter. Peter was always picking on him and threatening Ender and his beloved sister Valentine.
When he passed his final test down on Earth he was taken to Battle School where he began his training. After series of difficult times Ender is taken to Command School, where on commanders go to train. Ender wins many simulated battles throughout Command School. On his last simulation examination he blows up the enemy planet and wins the battle. Ender learns that he had just blown up the buggers planet, that the simulation were all real battles. He had become a hero.
After the bugger war the government started sending people up to the abandoned planets left behind from the buggers. Valentine was one of those people, she convinced Ender to come as well. He became the leader for their planet with help from Valentine.
Ender found the last bugger pupa , he made a decision that he would find a new home for them, where they could start living again.
I really enjoyed Enders Game because within the story its showing how children have potential. Ender was the mastermind with strategy and good ideas, he was the only one in the world that could have beat the buggers. He was a child and adults depended on him, because they knew he was the only one that would be able to beat the buggers and win the war. Valentine and Peter are also a great example if children who have potential because they changed the world with their ideas and suspicions. The book is a great for not only the whole story but also the ideas and themes within the book, intrigues readers to continue reading.
